Building Interfaith Bridges Projects

Our Community Committee of Faith-Based Leaders

Building Interfaith Bridge is a committee of faith-based leaders that have been meeting for over five years.

Building Interfaith Bridges is a community committee of faith-based leaders providing dialogue and workshops. We have accepted the LIPs Council’s request to formally become a working group. In this committee, we work on our initiatives to promote the anti-discrimination and racism mandates. We develop key actions that we would like our municipalities to adopt and incorporate into future planning and policy development for newcomers.

LIPs will increase our capacity to engage all community members through coordinated, comprehensive, and strategic approaches. We will create a Terms of Reference, continue with their original mandate (meeting monthly except in August and December), and include public campaigns and community dialogues focused on anti-discrimination and cultural diversity awareness.

In our meetings, we gather to discuss the different beliefs in a setting of goodwill and understanding. After COVID-19, we have had the opportunity to expand our horizons, get a greater understanding of people, and explore communities. Join us every third Wednesday of the month.

The boxes show six sets of themes: love, generosity, justice, forgiveness, courage, and unity. These are the topics that we discuss during our dialogues. We believe that families and communities can benefit from combining these different topics to thrive as a community.
